Denver Post, NOTICE OF A PROPOSED RENEWAL TITLE V OPERATING PERMIT WARRANTING PUBLIC COMMENT NOTICE is hereby given that an application to renew an Operating Permit has been submitted to the Colorado Air Pollution Control Division, 4300 Cherry Creek Drive South, Denver, Colorado, 80246-1530, for the following source of air pollution: Plains End Generating Station, 8950 Highway 93, Arvada, CO 80007 in Jefferson County. This facility consists of thirty four (34) natural gas-fired engines used to generate electricity. The applicant is Plains End, LLC and Plains End II, LLC, P. O. Box 1227, Arvada, CO 80001. A modification application is being processed in conjunction with the renewal permit. The modification requests an increase in permitted VOC emissions from the Plains End II (PEII) engines and an increase in permitted CO emissions from the Plains End I (PEI) and PEII engines. The increase in permitted VOC emissions is 39.5 tons/yr and the increase in permitted CO emissions is 248.9 tons/yr. The Division has made a preliminary determination of approval of the application. The Division will receive and consider the written public comments and requests for any hearing for 30 calendar days after the date of this Notice. If requested, the hearing will be held before the Commission within 60 days of its receipt of the request for a hearing unless a longer time period is agreed upon by the Division and the applicant.
