Denver Post, Navajo Agricultural Products Industry Navajo Agricultural Products Industry (NAPI) is Requesting for Proposals (RFP) from Businesses to Operate the NAPI 40 acre Feedlot with the capacity of 7,871 head at 150 sq. ft. per head. RFP documents will be available for pick-up beginning Wednesday, June 25, 2014, during normal business hours of 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. (MST), Monday through Friday, at the NAPI Main Office, HWY 10086 N.M. HWY 371 in Farmington, New Mexico, Phone #(505)566-2600. Contact person: Robert Chase, Phone number (505)566-2624. Formal request is available via e-mail: rchase@navajopride.com Interested parties shall submit sealed copies of one (1) original and four (4) copies of the required documents and bids in a separate sealed envelope of the original cost of the proposal to the NAPI Main Office located in Farmington, NM on or before July 31, 2014 by 3:00 P.M. (MST) and clearly marked RFP# 14-05-27-005 on the front of the envelope. Proposals received after the time and date specified will not be considered. Post marked, faxed, or electronically transmitted (e-mailed) material will not be considered or accepted. Responsibility for the timely submittal and routing of bids, prior to opening, lies solely on the bidder. Bids received after the time specified will not be considered and returned to bidder. FedEx and UPS deliveries are to be routed to the following address: Navajo Agricultural Products Industry HWY 10086 N.M. HWY 371, Farmington, New Mexico 87499. The selection of the Business Operator shall be made in accordance with the Navajo Business Opportunity Act, Title 5, Chapter 2, Section 205 and the selected company shall comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations of the Navajo Nation opportunity Act, N.N.C., Title 5, Chapter 2, Section 201 et, seq, where applicable. NAPI complies with Navajo Employment Preference Act. NAPI reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in this RFP and/or to reject any or all bids; to be sole judge of the suitability of the work offered and to award a General Contractor for the furnishing of services it deems to be in the best interest of NAPI.
