Denver Post, 2013 JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT PUBLIC HEARING Grant Application #2013-H4859-CO-DJ The Lakewood Police Department, serving as Grant Applicant, will host a public hearing on the use of the Justice Assistance Grant award in the amount of $82,274, Grant Application #2013-H4859-CO-DJ. The grant award is allocated to the Lakewood Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. The hearing will be held at 10:00 a.m. on August 1, 2013, in the Lakewood Police Department Training/Community Room at 445 S. Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado. The goal of this funding opportunity is designed to reduce crime and provide public safety by assisting law enforcement agencies with the hiring of personnel; purchase of equipment, technology, or other materials directly related to law enforcement functions. Community members from the participating areas are welcome to attend the public hearing to provide input into the proposed use of the funds.
