Canon City Daily Record, A BILL FOR ORDINANCE NO. 6, SERIES OF 2015 AN ORDINANCE SUBMITTING TO THE VOTE OF THE ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF CANON CITY, COLORADO, AT A GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD NOVEMBER 3, 2015, BALLOT QUESTIONS FOR CANDIDATES FOR THE MAYOR POSITION AND CANDIDATES FOR CERTAIN COUNCIL MEMBER POSITIONS. WHEREAS, terms for the position of Mayor, and the Council seats of District Two, District Four, and two At-Large positions will expire on January 4, 2016, the date of City Council's first regular meeting in 2016; and WHEREAS, the Charter and laws of the City of Canon City require that the registered electors of the City must conduct a general municipal election on November 3, 2015 to determine which candidates for such positions will be seated when a new Council convenes on January 4, 2016. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANON CITY, COLORADO: Section 1 . There shall be submitted to the registered electors of the City of Canon City, Colorado, at a General Election to be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, a list of candidates for the following positions: Mayor, District Two Council Member, District Four Council Member and two At-Large Council Members. Section 2 . As permitted by the Charter and laws of the City of Canon City, such general municipal election may be conducted as a part of a coordinated election conducted by the Fremont County Clerk and Recorder pursuant to the applicable provisions of the Uniform Election Code of 1992, Articles 1-13 of Title 1, C.R.S.
