Denver Post, Notice of a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Rural Development (USDA) has received an application for financial assistance from Rocky Mountain Wildlife Conservation Center d/b/a The Wild Animal Sanctuary. The proposed action is financial assistance for the construction of an approximately 48,000 square foot new Welcome Center, 10 acre parking lot, access road and gate, and a new 2250 foot long section of elevated walkway at 1946 County Road 53, Keenesburg, CO 80643, in unincorporated southern Weld County. USDA has assessed the potential environmental impacts of the proposed activities of Rocky Mountain Wildlife Conservation Center d/b/a The Wild Animal Sanctuary and determined that it will not significantly affect the quality of the human environment. Therefore, USDA will not prepare an environmental impact statement for this proposed action.
