Denver Post, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Colorado Educational and Cultural Facilities Authority (the "Authority") will conduct a public hearing concerning the approval of the issuance by the Authority of its tax-exempt Colorado Educational and Cultural Facilities Authority Charter School Refunding Revenue Bonds (Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) School Project) Series 2014 in the aggregate principal amount of not to exceed $17,000,000 (the "Bonds"). Proceeds of the Bonds will be used by Lighthouse Building Corp. (the "Corporation") and Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) School (the "Charter School") for a plan of finance comprised of the following purposes: (a) current refunding of the Authority's Charter School Revenue Bonds (STEM School Project), Series 2012A originally issued in the aggregate principal amount of $9,835,000 (the "Series 2012A Bonds"); (b) advance refunding of the Authority's Charter School Revenue Bonds (STEM School Expansion Project), Series 2013A originally issued in the aggregate principal amount of $3,780,000 and the Authority's Charter School Revenue Bonds (STEM School Expansion Project), Series 2013B originally issued in the aggregate principal amount of $75,000 (collectively, the "Series 2013 Bonds"); (c) funding a debt service reserve fund; and (d) paying the costs of issuance of the Bonds (collectively, the "Project"). Proceeds of the Series 2013 Bonds and the Series 2012A Bonds were used to finance the acquisition, construction and improvement of educational facilities (the "Facilities"). The Facilities will be owned by the Corporation, and leased to and operated by the Charter School, for use as a charter school and may be subleased by the Charter School to organizations described under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the "Code"). The Facilities are located at 8773 S Ridgeline Blvd., Highlands Ranch, Colorado 80129, in Douglas County, Colorado. The Bonds are not general obligations of the Authority. The Bonds and the interest thereon shall never constitute the debt or indebtedness of the Authority, the State of Colorado (the "State") or any political subdivision thereof within the meaning of any provision of the Constitution and laws of the State and shall not constitute nor give rise to a pecuniary liability or a charge against the general credit or taxing powers of the Authority or the State. This notice is intended to comply with the public notice requirements of Section 147(f) of the Code. All interested parties are invited to attend and present comments at the public hearing regarding the plan of finance, the Facilities, the Project and the issuance of the Bonds. The public hearing on the Bonds and financing the Project will be held on Monday, September 22, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at the offices of the Authority at 1981 Blake Street, first floor conference room, Denver, Colorado 80202.
