Denver Post, Asarco Globe Amended Consent Decree PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD August 8, 2014 - September 12, 2014 The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment will accept written comments on the proposed termination of the Consent Decree which terminates the Consent Decree contingent upon execution of a new enforceable agreement with Globeville I, LLC. The new enforceable agreement provides for the completion of the remaining remedial obligations for the cleanup at the Asarco Globe site. Public comment is being taken on: (1) the termination of the Consent Decree; (2) changes for the Former Neutralization Pond (Operable Unit 1); Groundwater and Surface Water (Operable Unit 2), and the Plant Site - Soils and Other Sources of Contamination (Operable Unit 4).
